Michaelƒs Mussels Emporium, "Our Signature Dish"
  • 16 oz. Michael’s Famous Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Tbl. Virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbl. Fresh chopped sweet basil
  • 1 lb. Mussels cleaned and de-bearded (discard opened or cracked mussels)
  • (If more mussels are used, add more sauce- 1 jar can make up to 4 lbs. mussels.)
Put olive oil into favorite large frying or sauce pan, add mussels and sauce, cover and cook. When mussels open and release their juices, sauce is done. Pour into you favorite serving bowl, add basil, and serve. Dip your favorite baguette or Italian bread into sauce. Sauce may be used as topping over 1 lb. al dente boiled linguini or spaghetti pasta.
