Ginger Cookies (from 1890 Cookbook) - Featured on WHAI
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Mix all ingredients and roll out. Cut dough with a
cookie cutter.

Bake cookies in pre-heated oven at 375-400 degrees
for 10-15 minutes.
