Ginger
Cookies (from 1890 Cookbook)
- Featured on WHAI
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon baking
soda
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black
pepper (optional)
Mix all ingredients
and roll out. Cut
dough with a
cookie cutter.
Bake cookies in pre-heated
oven at 375-400 degrees
for 10-15 minutes.
