Michael's Famous Frutti di Mare
  • 32 oz. Michael’s Famous Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Tbl. Virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbl. Fresh chopped sweet basil
  • 1 lb. Mussels cleaned and de-bearded (discard opened or cracked mussels)
  • 3/4 lb. Medium shrimp peeled and de-veined
  • 1 can 6.5 oz. Clams
  • 1/2 lb. Bay scallops (optional)
  • 1 lb. Linguini or spaghetti pasta
Into frying pan or sauce pan add olive oil, shrimp, mussels. Cover. Cook until shrimp are pink and mussels open and release their juices. Add sauce, clams (and scallops, optional). Heat until hot. Meanwhile, boil pasta until al dente, then drain and put into your favorite bowl. Pour sauce over pasta, top with fresh basil and serve.
