Famous Apricot Cake
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 5 Tbl. unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8-10 large apricots, halved with stones removed

Topping
- 3 Tbl. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Mix together the dry ingredients, and cut in butter.
Mix together the liquid ingredients and add to dry ingredients.
Pour batter into a buttered 9x13 pan. Place the apricot
halves on top of the batter. Mix the topping ingredients
and spoon over the batter and apricots. Bake at 400°
for 45 minutes.
